J’ai acheté les chaussures Eiger GTX il y a 10 ans environ et je pratique la cascade de glace et l’alpinisme de temps en temps. Ce modèle était à l’époque sans la guêtre à zip qui recouvre toute la chaussure. J’étais satisfait de la légèreté de la chaussure mais déçu de la résistance de la semelle que j’ai assez vite usée au point de ne plus pouvoir utiliser mes crampons en mode automatique (moins pratique pour la cascade…). Je me suis décidé cette année à tenter le ressemelage des chaussures en les envoyant en Italie chez Asolo.

Package got lost for 6 weeks but that was not Asolo’s fault. The repair was done swiftly and the quality is top notch! Good communication Highly recommended 👌🏼

Le ressemmelage s'est très bien passé, les lacets ont même été changé. Le prix du transport est un peu onéreux ~40€ A/R.

A bit more communication would have been nice. E.g. when the shoes to repair had arrived at Asolo. Or an expected time to repair, since I sent it over Christmas. I became worried in late January if you had received the shoes, since even taking Chistmas into account the state time on the website for a repair was long due. The work itself was very good.

tutto bene, tranne il feedback dopo la ricezione delle scarpe in fabbrica: il c ruscotto per l'utente non mostra lo stato di elaborazione delle scarpe. nel mio caso stavate aspettando il materiale, ma non vedovo niente quindi dopo 2 settimane ho dovuto mandare una mail al vostro support. va migliorato il cruscotto in tal senso. poi tempi lunghi: 5 settimane per risuolare... troppo... troppo...

Solid company, high quality boots, but beware of buying from Asolo in Italy if need to return; you will have to cover shipping for the return, which is a substantial cost.

Good Online Experience! If I have to point out something is the shipping carrier, FEDEX was at my place, only Nok the doors once and left! (No time to get to the door to receive the package). So I have to wait for another 2 days. I would prefer to have the possibility to assign a dropping point nearby (Like GLS does).

purtroppo certi prodotti solo in vendita on-line, senza possibile valutazione diretta. acquisto eseguito, ma reso subito per problemi di calzata/taglia. qualche problema con la procedura via web, ma grazie al contatto telefonico successivo poi risolto. il prodotto allora scelto era buono, vedremo il prossimo nel suo utilizzo pratico.

Il lavoro di risuolatura è stato fatto molto bene e ne sono soddisfatto. Le tempistiche sono state un po' lente, considerando i tempi di spedizione, ed il prezzo sicuramente alto, dovendo includere anche i costi di spedizione. Sarebbe molto più comodo ed accessibile se Asolo facesse un corso di formazione e certificazione per calzolai locali (come fa Sportiva e Scarpa), dopo il quale possono accedere alle suole Vibram-Asolo. In questo modo si ridurrebbero i costi di spedizione ed i tempi, supportando allo stesso tempo i calzolai locali.

Choose re-soling because my feet are sensitive to worn down soles. The boot usually still looks good when I need to change boots. The re-soling process was a bit more involved and expensive than I thought…I don’t realize the shipping would need to be both ways and that I would have to pay for customs. More expensive than I thought (approx $250 total). But, the asolo team was great about telling me where I was in the process and explaining expenses. Boots came back looking almost new for way less than the price of new boots!

Resoled 10 year-old Agent GT shoe (European, not the later Asian model). I love the shoe and the resoling workmanship is in line with expectations (so, good). I resoled as that model shoe was discontinued and I really like them. My only "complaint" is that it is very expensive and took a long time. From sending to receipt was 12 weeks (admittedly US to Italy). I was very prompt with all payments and responses so no hang-ups there. It was also not inexpensive. Not to say that the costs were not justified, but new ones would have cost less - if they had not been discontinued. So my advice is that if the shoe/boot is still in production then new ones will cost less than resoling. If the shoe is old but you love it then resole it but know that you'll spend more that you would have hoped. Overall, generally happy.
