One of the worst companies I have ever dealt with. They sent me a wrong product. I've been trying to get a replacement or a refund for *weeks* now, but their customer service is *terrible*. They seem very uninterested in helping me with this issue. *I* have to keep e-mailing them and asking for help, asking for information and status of the resolving of the issue. They never contact me unless I send them another e-mail. And when they do contact me, they are very stingy on information and ignore most of my questions. I have to send 3 or 4 e-mails just to get every info I need. They show no interest in helping me, or care towards their customers. It feels like they want me to leave them alone, because they don't want to deal with this. It is *their* fault though, that they sent me a wrong product. At this point I am pretty sure that they scammed me. They sent me a wrong product on purpose, because nobody was buying it. Please DO NOT buy from this company. They will most likely you like they did me, and will do their best to avoid helping you, and you will be spending weeks like me, trying to resolve the issue. Very company, I am extremely disappointed. The worst company I have ever dealt with.

I love La Sportiva shoes and have used their light trekking boots on three treks in the Himalayas. I bought my first pair in Namche Bazaar. They are great on stone steps or on scree. The delivery to the UK has been reliable and extremely fast. This is a really outstanding company. Well done!

The shoes arrived in good time and are of reasonable quality, but I now see why wide options are available as they are relatively tight. Also it is not at all obvious that there are tax implications by ordering from the uk and I have had to pay a tax charge of £57 on top of the cost of the shoes, which makes them very expensive. I am very dissatisfied.

Order and delivery was quick and nice. However, I retuned a product and asked for exchange. My return package is already in La Sportiva (I got information form carrier) and La Sportiva is silent. I don't know what is going know with my return and when I'll get exchanged product.

Firstly, great shoes, ease of purchase on website and speed of delivery to uk was excellent. However the whole experience was overshadowed by the courier (fed ex) charging £45 for import duty. I know customs duties happen but there was no mention of this at the point of purchase and in effect it added approximately 30% to the price of the shoes making them expensive. Had I known this at the point of purchase I probably wouldn’t have gone for it and this experience will definitely make me think twice about buying direct from La Sportiva again.

Not very many of your shoes are in the larger sizes - 49.5.

Information on the company

La Sportiva was born in 1928 when Narciso Delladio hand-crafted wooden leather boots for many lumber-jacks and farmers of the Fassa and Fiemme valleys (Dolomites, Italy). After the war, the demand for boots increased obliging Narciso to hire new workers: the good name of "Calzoleria Sportiva" crossed the boarders of the valleys. Starting from here the La Sportiva’s history continued to grow. Now the firm produces in Fiemme Valley boots and shoes for all kind of outdoor activities from climbing and mountain, categories in which La Sportiva has the market leadership, to mountain running, trekking and the skimountaineerging market. Recently the company entered in the skimountaineering segment and in the apparel market with a complete selection of technical clothes for running, skimountaineering and climbing. La Sportiva who produces mainly in his headquarter at Ziano di Fiemme, is distributed in more then 70 countries worldwide.
