Massive hidden shipping fees, you pay a lot for shipping and are not eligable for free shipping when purchasing over the advertised amount. Then you are hit with huge fees as the shipping doesn't cover all the costs. The actual items recieved are very good though. However, will never shop direct again.

Lack of information about duties at checkout is disappointing. Be warned that you will be charged tax and duty if you are not in the EU

Their exchange is broken, so you need to return the items and the return process is very old school - they can not send a return label, so you have to book a courier yourself, pay for it (and import duties back to Italy) and take the pain of going through all the weights, tariff codes etc. despite the fact that you paid import duties into the U.K. you would have to pay again on the exchange items!

It was so sad that my package could not be delivered to me (in France) for 7 days just because I do not have a "French mobile phone number". At least you have to state in advance that somebody who has bought stuff from you has to have a telephone number registered in the country where the purchases will delivered. I can't imagine what could be happed if I do not have a friend who has a phone. I called La Sportiva customer services; the first one was good, I provided a preferred phone number; however, the second call unfortunately happened with somebody who does not well understand English. She was not able to explain to me what was happening and could not successfully start the delivery process. I got the delivery eventually but the whole process was frustrating and was a kind of burden to me, which was ridiculous.

Pagerei volentieri 30 € in piu' per capo se fossero prodotti in Val di Fiemme. Made in Vietnam non mi piace. Saluti

Shoes are great however the website was abit glitchy and kept trying to add two into the basket. Post ordering it cost £45 in import taxes which made it even more expensive. Other than that great shoes

This review is not about the product but about the delivery. I was promised delivery before 18h, waited all day long but the package never arrived. Had to stay home from work another day in order to have the package delivered, contacted you several times, your staff gave me different replies every time. "It is delayed, it will arrive next day, maybe not after all, we cannot say when" etc. I urgently needed the package that day in order for me to travel abroad on a big adventure. It was a big hassle for me.

Hi wonderful products, I love them. But always problems with posting to the account holder instead of requested address so more expense involved

Impossible to find the approach shoe replacement laces that I required for my TX guide shoes, on the La Sportiva website! I had to make an enquiry through a local UK based La Sportiva retailer! I'm annoyed that I'm having to replace the shoe laces in the first place, because the shoes are only 9 months old!!! And, to add 'insult to injury' the laces cost about £2.00 but the shipment from La Sportiva that I was being charged was a further £14.00 'FOURTEEN' pounds!!!! That's 7 times more than the laces themselves!!! Very unimpressed and disappointed!

Your website is extremely slow, that's my second order and I was experiencing same issues with your polish version of that webpage. I bought clothes only because I know the quality and I really needed those but otherwise, I wouldn't spend so much time, it's not worth it. You have to improve it, especially that there are many bugs. Unfortunately I'm a Web QA...who loves mountains :(

I was emailed to say my order was shipped, but then I had waited about 2 weeks and I got another email saying this: "Unfortunately your shipment has been sent to sender due changes in custom procedures for Brexit situation." I was not informed about this problem and I was told it was my responsibility to contact them to talk about it... Although I did receive a full refund I am still without any climbing shoes and I now have to search again from scratch and buy from other retailers. Disappointing.

Company information

La Sportiva was born in 1928 when Narciso Delladio hand-crafted wooden leather boots for many lumber-jacks and farmers of the Fassa and Fiemme valleys (Dolomites, Italy). After the war, the demand for boots increased obliging Narciso to hire new workers: the good name of "Calzoleria Sportiva" crossed the boarders of the valleys. Starting from here the La Sportiva’s history continued to grow. Now the firm produces in Fiemme Valley boots and shoes for all kind of outdoor activities from climbing and mountain, categories in which La Sportiva has the market leadership, to mountain running, trekking and the skimountaineerging market. Recently the company entered in the skimountaineering segment and in the apparel market with a complete selection of technical clothes for running, skimountaineering and climbing. La Sportiva who produces mainly in his headquarter at Ziano di Fiemme, is distributed in more then 70 countries worldwide.
