Unfortunately disappointed with the Arione R3 Open saddle. I have been using an old Arione “Classic” on and off for a while. Was getting the ol’ numbing feeling on longer rides (2hrs plus) and thought that the open design would remedy that issue. Unfortunately, the open channel seems to put more stress on the sit bone area and that has created an inflammation of the ischial tuberosity (right side). Guess I’ll be going back to the classic design. 3 stars because whereas it’s a beautiful and well made saddle, it unfortunately doesn’t fit me at all. This issue is probably specific to my morphology- but thought that sharing experience might be a warning/helpful to others.
