I have been a La Sportiva customer for years and have trusted the brand for my hiking, approach, climbing, and mountaineering footwear. Unfortunately, this purchase has been a very disappointing experience. My new La Sportiva Equilibrium Hike boots were delivered on 2 October 2026. During the first hike, on 10 October, they suffered significant damage within the first two hours of use. This was extremely disappointing for a product intended for mountain hiking. I submitted a formal complaint on 16 October, requesting a return at La Sportiva's expense and a full refund. I also submitted the warranty claim through the online portal and received confirmation that the submission had been successful. Nevertheless, customer service subsequently informed me that they had not received the form, so I had to submit it again and provide the supporting documentation once more. At the time of writing, my request for a return and refund remains unresolved. The damage to the boots is already disappointing, but the subsequent handling of the complaint has added to my frustration. As a long-standing customer, I expected both product quality and customer service to reflect the reputation of the brand. I hope La Sportiva will address my complaint promptly and provide a straightforward resolution.

I have made a second purchase with La Sportiva because I was really pleased with my first purchase which was a grey sherpa Beanie which is great, well made and soft interior so it doesnt cause itching. I also bought a light blue cotton sweatshirt with the La Sportiva logo on the front which is well made,a great fit and warm. I'm waiting for my second delivery of another sherpa Beanie in a different color and a moon climb hoodie. I think their clothing is great quality and the Beanie hat is great at keepin the heat in when I go out on my mountain bike. I can't fault the quality and secure delivery methods. Maybe a waterproof hooded jacket will be on my list next.

I made a purchase of several items, including t-shirts and La Sportiva Aerquilibrium Hike GTX boots. Two of the three shirts purchased, although marked as size "L", are much larger - (I compared them to shirts I already own from La Sportiva and to the third shirt in the order, which is the correct size) The boots are very good, but they scratch easily during walks, appearing to have been worn only a few times. I opened a support ticket with La Sportiva as soon as I received the products (mainly regarding the shirt sizing) and have not yet received a response.

La Sportiva was born in 1928 when Narciso Delladio hand-crafted wooden leather boots for many lumber-jacks and farmers of the Fassa and Fiemme valleys (Dolomites, Italy). After the war, the demand for boots increased obliging Narciso to hire new workers: the good name of "Calzoleria Sportiva" crossed the boarders of the valleys. Starting from here the La Sportiva’s history continued to grow.
