I have a Creek Asolo. This Piuma almost is as good as my old Creek but not as high quality as it does not have Goretex.

The boots are just what I was looking for, a shoe for light backpacking that let me feel the ground and esperad my toes. They feel like a running shoe!

My favorite lightweight hiking boots. Wore these on several trips through Joshua Tree, Big Sur, and a 6 month deployment to Afghanistan. My only complaint is that they are no longer making them.

Too early. Not had the time to test my new shoes. One immediate feeling when you pass the shoes : insoles are very tough and have a poor cushioning. I am not sure ths will be an issue on 15-20 km though. A real live test is required. Other option would be to replace the standard insole by a more elaborated one. This is a common practice. For the rest, the shoes seem quite nice and well made. The price is very sweet as I bought on sales (-30% off)

Why do you not make boots like this anymore. Best boots I have ever had. This is my second pair. Ordered from Italy because they were not available locally anymore. The boots keep my heel very low to the ground to reduce angle damage if my angle rolls over by accident. But at the same time the soles proved a concave space to fit my gaiter strap under the footbed. All other low to the ground boots have flat soles with no place for the gaiter strap. Please add a new model with the same sole.

Best lightweight boot I've ever owned in fit & finish. Bought them for hiking butI wear them everyday. Perfect for my part of the world (Northern California) where annual temperatures can range from 20 - 115 degrees F and rainfall is infrequent. If the footbed had a better (softer\padded) insole I'd rate it at 5 stars. Keep making this type of boot.

This is an Excellent quality boot . It fits like a glove ,its as if it was sewn to my foot . Very comfortable . My only suggestion is with the natural foot shape becoming popular through minimalist shoes a wider toe box would make it even better .

I was lucky enough to get a pair of these at a local REI garage sale for an incredible price. I have used these both for hiking and on occassion work. The events I wear them for work is the equivalent of trail running for about 12 miles. They are light enough and durable enough that I still have them after a year of hard abuse and I enjoy them. The soles are a little thin and my feet do get a tiny bit sore. I could always change them out but I never seem to get around to it. I live in Western North Carolina and have easily hiked 20 miles in these with 30lbs on my back in a day. I have much heavier and lighter boots but these are my go to boots.

I purchased these for a fall paddle and portage trip in the Quetico. You are constantly wadding in knee deep water so no amount of Gortex is going to keep you dry what you need is a boot that drains and dries fast and these are the best I've found. Excellent support but also comfortable while paddling. Looking at other experienced travelers in the Quetico there are a variety of approaches to this: sandals, hunting boots, rubber boots. I need some support carrying a pack and I think these are the best solution. Asolo could make some minor changes to improve the drying time: closed foam sole insert, change the felt inner sole and perhaps some suede to a faster drying synthetic.
