Artica X5

The Arctica X5 really protect from the wind and seem pretty waterproof. They are roomy for wide feet, which is great. The cold still passes through, though, even at 5-10C. So I have to add layers of socks but that's OK.

I am always skeptical about cold weather gear, especially socks and shoes, since my feet tend to run cold and the gear never seems to live up to expectations. I just tested my new Artica X5 shoes in real feel 33 degree F (0-0.5C) on a 21 mile ride. Wore winter cycling socks. My feet were the warmest they've ever been in those conditions. The lacing system offers a very snug fit. I have to be a little more careful about how to tuck the laces away: right ankle was perfect, left was a little annoying, but now that I know this is easily fixable. I may add a cycling sole for more comfort and insulation, but the Artica 5X were great, as is! They look good on, too!

Not waterproof by any means. Water streams in from the cuff and settles in the bottom of the boot, your feet then slosh around. Once it gets in it never drains out. sizing is very difficult to determine, my normal size is to small, one size up means the foot are is to big but the cuff over the arch is to tight. Feet sweat due to no ventilation

Good build quality but the Artica X5 boot is not at all warm. At plus 6C, my toes are cold.

The innovative pull-cord zipper closure works better than I expected, and stuffing the cord under the zipper is not uncomfortable at all...you can't even tell it's there. The boot is warm--maybe too warm!--and keeps your feet dry from external moisture, but sweaty feet will always be sweaty, so choose your socks wisely!

Cette paire de chaussures spécial hiver est vraiment très bien conçue. La qualité fi'zi:k est là et les pieds sont bien au chaud et au sec.

Comfortable fit, good finish quality. Could not really test if it keeps my feet warm as the temperature was rising again when i received the shoes. But so far they kept my feet dry and very warm.

Shoes look very nice bit were to narrow for my feet so I had to return them. Cannot comment on use.

These boots are excellent. I got tired of booties and toe covers, and these boots are perfect. They look really good, they tighten well (a draw cord between the tongue and zipper), and are comfortable to walk in. They are also nice and warm. My longest ride since getting them was 20 miles in 30F degree weather (-1C), 15-20mph, and my feet with normal socks were very comfortable. I am normally between 8.5 and 9, and the 42 was a very good fit.

Nice winter gravel/mtb bike shoe, great fit (took a size bigger) almost perfect build, but zipper gets stuck easily.

The shoes do an awesome job at keeping you warm. It is supposed to rain soon so I will report on the waterproofing then!
