Calde e isolanti, con queste scarpe è bello rientrare da un giro in bici in pieno inverno e sentirsi ancora le dita dei piedi! Hanno una vestibilità molto attillata, quindi in base alla forma del piede sarà più o meno facile indossarle, ma se vi entrano, non vi pentirete dell'acquisto! Credo che ci siano delle possibilità che questa calzatura non sia adatta a tutti i tipi di piede, ad esempio sconsiglio in caso di pianta larga o piede/caviglia "in carne".

I was apprehensive after reading reviews about some issues with fit. I decided to go ahead and try these and glad I did. My usage: urban commuting and cycling to a location like a nature park where then walk or hike around (usually with my daughter in a carrier behind). Distance: usually 20-40kms, Total Time out: 1-4hrs. My foot: 10.5-11” - ordered 44.5. Temps used: -15c-5c. The fit in my opinion is comparable to some fashion shoes I wore when I was younger, or some pairs of wetsuitsuit booties, or cross country ski boots from youth, or even some runners i’ve owned (though admittedly i don’t like this fit in a runner). The top is snug and you open the top as much as possible while opening the lace/tongue and then foot in and firm down with the heel and in. For some, this might not be something they want in a boot. Like jeans, some like loose, some like tight fit. But, in my opinion, this is an impressive boot that can handle the cold, let me ride, stop, ride, walk around in all sorts of conditions in great confort. I’m no longer stuck between overshoes that tear and don’t allow as much mobility or boots that seem functional but can’t handle the conditions when asked. The top of the boot integrates well with my winter biib shorts. Overall, i am very pleased and seems like a quality product that does everything i need it to do.

I had to return this shoe. The shoe looks amazing and I wanted to love the shoe, but the shoe is stupidly hard to put on. The shoe doesn’t need a pull tab or a longer zipper. The shoe needs to be redesigned completely. The shoe collar is made of the same material as the front of the shoe; an extremely hard rubber. While great for the front of the shoe, this was a very poor choice for the collar of the shoe. No shoe collar needs to be made from this material. Not only do I cycle, but run marathons. So I have worn many different types of shoes. How easy a shoe is to get on mostly depends on the stiffness of the collar. The collar of this shoe is just terrible. Fizik should take a few design elements from the Terra Clima X2 and combine that with this shoe to get a better fitting shoe.

I received these a little over a week ago & just in time. We've had a little bit of snow on the east coast & w/that comes ponds of snow melt on road-way intersections. The boots have been great so far in keeping my feet dry. The boot is stiff for sure but seems to be breaking in a bit little by little. My only reason for not giving 5 stars is the challenge w/getting these darn things on ! The base of the collar is quite rigid making it tough to get your foot in without a shoe horn. Maybe incorporate a pull loop to help ?

Buona sera. Essendo un prodotto con un prezzo importante anche le aspettative sono importanti. il modello è assolutamente ottimo ma purtroppo la calzata ne limita le performances. Avendo una entrata tramite un calzino no staccabile neoprene cucita sulla scarpa l’entrata è limitata e con sforzi enormi pwer inserire il piede. Se poi uno ha un po’ il collo del piede alto diventa una tortura. Essendo un vs super loyal cliente, se posso, consiglio una revisione della calzata. Deve essere pioù morbida. La scarpa non deve rimanere in armadio ma essere usata e vista daglio altri...A disposizione e grazie. Paolo Zonta

Warmest winter biking shoe yet. Not easy to put on as many have stated, but the important thing is they keep my feet warmer in 20-30 F. than any other winter biking shoes I've owned. Recommend 2 pairs of wool socks with these, typical for any winter biking shoes.

For the price, this product could have been designed a little better. I agree with other reviewers that it's a struggle to put on the shoe, and it would have made sense to make the side zipper just about an inch or two deeper to make this task easier. I was determined to make it work, so I recommend unwinding the BOA lace all the way counter-clockwise, then rocking your foot left-to-right to get your foot in. Once my foot was in the shoe, the fit was snug and perfect (most likely, the design was intended to keep water and cold out). The Terra Arctica X2 design is similar to Nike's Dynamic Fit Collar soccer shoe, but the sock is higher and the shoe stiffer. The reason I bought this shoe was I learned my lesson last week while wearing a "breathable" summer biking shoe in 25-degree F weather, which was the equivalent to biking in sandals in winter. The Terra Arctica kept me warm during my ride, but I should probably have gotten one size larger so that I could wear a thicker sock. I'll try it again next week with my "fat" bike - it's supposed to snow!

Good quality made. size fits well. But putting the shoes on is not really easy. It could be easier by adding a tab to the rear of the cuff, then you can pull that and push the foot in the shoe. Then the shoe would get 10/10 score ... Most winter bike shoes have it, so why there isn’t a tab there in the first place?

Having ridden them in -5C - 4C for more than 2 weeks with dhb Aeron Winter Weight Merino Sock or Endura Pro SL Primaloft socks. My fingers got cold (not freezing) in about 50minutes without too much tightening. I can compare their insulation to winter setup of my Terra X5 with yellow BBB Water Flex overshoe (BWS-03N), winter insole (ECCO) and those already mentioned socks. And to be honest with way more visibility. So the higher visibility and more reflections is something I'm really missing here. They are very comfortable to walk and at the same time not too soft when riding (90minutes). Fingers have enough space. Definitely more than in my Terra X5 I'm riding spring - autumn and I'm very satisfied with. So they are very comfortable to wear. To get on and off needs some practice but is not so horrible as Jack Luke wrote in Bikeradar review and I agree the neoprene cuff could be 1-2cm longer and zipp 1cm deeper. My biggest complain is insole which is probably the biggest disappointment. No only for the price of the shoes but for its performance. I was expecting the same insole as in Terra X5 Artica at least. They are made from soft foam with some sort of fleece and the is no other insulation like thermal foil or so. I'm going to change them ASAP for something more insulated and with better foot support. Build quality is high but not very high. Tip of the sole on both shoes is not glued for 100% for example.
