B17 Special Titanium

This is my second B17 titanium. I’ve had my first one for about 8 years. It’s extremely comfortable and very lightweight for a leather saddle. I ordered this latest one for a restoration of an antique bike that I’m working on; actually a retro-mod project, in which I’m putting new lightweight components on it, while retaining the classic, and historical aesthetics of the original design.

Great saddle: wide enough for my sit-bones but narrow enough to not feel like I’m on a couch. The depth of the leather down the sides of the saddle keep from chaffing and the cut-out is great for pressure relief.

Pickwick Cotton Canvas

Well! I’m gonna be honest! I bought this backpack around 8 years ago when I was about to embark on my cross country ride from Greece to Italy. It turned out to be the best backpack I’ve ever had in my entire life. Everywhere I went I got compliments about how sexy and killer this stash was. I still have the old one but it was so worn out since I used it every single say since 2018. Then I decided to get a new one almost a month ago. The Grey color was not available at the time so I signed up for Brooks notification about its availability. Three weeks ago I received an email that the grey color was back in stock and after a bit of struggle because of the price I bought it. And it was a huge letdown! I still have the old one and if you ask I’ll send you photos of both and show you how different and bad the new one is. Honestly, it still looks sturdy, I must use it more to see if it also works as good as the last one but, there’s no Brooks logo carved on the hook, nor on the leather attached to the canvas, no leather on the back zipper, no instructional print inside the bag, the canvas is thinner, etc! In brief, it looks like a fake, cheap reproduction of the original one. If I hadn’t bought it from official Brooks website I would have definitely thought it’s a cheap fake product! Still looks ok but not happy with my purchase at all! And again I can send you the photos of the same old bag if anyone’s interested. In today’s world we try to get better not worse, and Brooks’ quality is definitely worse! And I demand answers from Brooks! Thank you!
