I recently had my trusty 20-year-old Asolo hiking boots resoled, and the experience exceeded all my expectations! Not only was the turnaround time much faster than anticipated, but the quality of the craftsmanship was truly superb. The boots feel rejuvenated, offering the same robust support and comfort that initially drew me to Asolo. I'm genuinely impressed with the attention to detail and the evident skill that went into the resoling process. It's clear that the technicians handling the boots know their craft inside out. My boots now feel like they're ready for countless more adventures, and it’s given me peace of mind knowing that I'm treading with renewed soles underneath. I have 10 yr old hiking boots which were lovingly cared for but the midsole disintegrated. A lot of time and money was spent on trying to find a comparable replacement, but never satisfactorily. Then I discovered that they could be returned to Italy for resoling. The results are excellent and I'm extremely pleased.

RESOLING SERVICE: Good work, but very expensive - just buy a new pair. Got my shoes back good as new, but comfortable and nicely worn-in. But costs: Postage to Italy £20 Resole service £65 IMPORT DUTY!!! £30 Postage back to UK £20 NB: No duty charged on return of shoes to UK. I tried to get the Asolo sales rep to stop the import duty to Italy since the shoes were bought and paid for in UK, and not being permanently shipped into Italy. But he had no interest in helping out, refused to appreciate the logic (which was proven correct by the fact there was no import duty returning the shoes to the UK) and threatened to use the £65 fee to simply dispose of the shoes. I like the shoes, but won't be buying them again.

I've asked Asolo to resole my mountain boots which were in very bad state after 8 years of use. And I've been amazed by the result of their work. My boots are almost like new : new sole and lace and they've added a protection on the front an extra pair of lace. I am very happy with the service! It took a reasonable time of 3 to 4 weeks in total to get the boots back in Belgium from Italy, for a reasonable price too. Language on their website could be improved because some info were only available in Italian.
