Had some old boots resoled to give them new life. They turned out much better than expected and I'm very happy.

They let me use their FedEx account number to save a bunch. Tey turned the repair around is just a couple of days. I couldn't let the almost new uppers go to waste, but the soles were defective and peeled away. The replacement soles are real sweet and they added a toe cover which makes them even better. I have loved the TPS535 for almost 40 years and maybe 5 pairs. I can't walk without them. Tried all others. I want a lifetime supply and love them so much I would marry them. Maybe in Los Angeles I could...Ha ha ha

The boots finally came back with the new soles attached. This process took over 4 months to be completed. Before any work was done I was instructed to pay 160 dollars to open a case. When I shipped them the cost was 91 dollars. When Asolo received them I was told I needed to pay another 45 dollars to get them out of customs, so I paid 296 dollars for a pair of boots that might have cost 180 when new. This was all to fix a sole that was coming off the boot ( product defect). I have bought many pairs of Asolo boots and shoes and have recommended them to countless people. That will not happen again, there are many companies that stand by their products, and when a defect is presented remedy the situation without undue burden or overcharge to the customer. This was a ridiculous exercise and I will not do it again.

We are sorry, but your boots were not anymore under the two-years-warranty, more the boots needed the resoling service as a consequence of use. Regarding the four months arriving, in this case, we cannot take any responsability as the shipping is at customer expensive and you can choose the courier you prefear - we always suggest to use an express courier in order to have a quick delivery and the possibility to monitor the shipping, but in this case you haven't opted for this option. These boots are almost impossible to put on. The loop at the heel is too small to pull. I have slim fingers, but cannot get a finger into the loop to pull the boot on. I have to undo the lacing most of the way down to push my foot into the boot. Very slow and inconvenient.

The only thing I would say is that the shipping bill and tax was more than the resoling cost. If I had known that in advance (ie a note on the website about import tax post Brexit I assume) I'm afraid I would have bought a new pair instead!
