SADDLE BAG - TU

Bag is attractive and low profile as expected. Beefy strap is well intentioned, but is hard to wrap around R3 Adaptive bars and seat structure. May get better with wear and break-in, but currently causing bag to hang a little lopsided.

ARIONE R3 ADAPTIVE - 135

Still dialing in. Only two short rides, but good feelings. Feels nice to be able to sit back on climbs. Narrow nose and taper is great for my anatomy and adaptive riding style/position.

Terra Artica GTX - 40.5

The Terra Arctica shoe is super warm and comfortable, I hate cold feet so these will be my favorite cold weather riding companion. I would recommend them and the fit works perfectly for me. I have average to narrow feet and the fit me perfect.

Great wide option with the Vento Proxy and will be great for touring and gravel riding. For me well, hight quality construction and great design elements.

Fizik Shopping Experience Review This review concerns my search for my next road shoe (and selection) now that my Sidi Genius 4/5 and Giro Prolight SLX road shoes have finally worn-out beyond their service life. I purchased three pairs of the Vento Omna Wide model in my anticipated size range so that I would be able to choose the most comfortable size from the three. The two pairs not selected would then be returned. The reader should note that my use-case (and price point) has slightly changed since my entrance into road racing/training and cycling of 2009. What I liked: 1. The ease by which I searched and found the needed "wide size" road shoes via Fizik's webpages 2. The multiple options of shoe models available namely style, color, and features. These models all had many feature combinations leading to flexibility in choice, which was quite pleasing. 3. My customer service representative expertly and professionally guided me throughout the purchase/sales conditions, shipping/return, and sizing detail required for this important road shoe component of my use case - I could not be happier in this regard. What I disliked: (none found)

Beat - 44

This shoe is a perfect middle point between a proper cycling shoe and a casual off-bike shoe. I have other dual-use casual cycling shoes (specifically the ones from the Brand with 3 stripes) and they can feel sloppy, not stiff enough, less powerful. But these are much different — the power transfer to the pedals feels way stronger than you'd expect, the lacing doesn't feel overly loose or stretchy, and when you're walking around off the bike at the cafe/grocery/fitness center, etc, you quickly forget that you're wearing cycling shoes. Plus I LOVE how bright and weird the colorway looks in white and orange and purple. One note to consider: the cleat mounting plate/slots on these shoes is farther back than on other Fizik shoes. For me, this meant that I had to attach the cleats to a different point on the plate, and I had to ride test the positioning a little longer and with a little more nuance than I usually do. That was/is not a problem for me at all — this is still a 5-star product — it's just something about which you should be aware. I LOVE these shoes and when they wear off, I'll be looking for another pair.
