Aliante R3 Open

TERMPO ARGO X3

I've got about 170 miles on this saddle, mostly on road, but some off-road as well. Rides have typically been in the 1.5-2.5 hours, so I haven't gotten a really big day in on it yet. It's comfortable in the sense that I don't usually think about it or notice it, which is perfectly fine by me. It looks nice and feels well made. For what it's worth, I found my X3 weighed the same as the claimed weight as the X5, so don't get the X3 for just the weight. There might be some comfort gains in the rails, but that's very hard to quantify objectively. I think it's a decent saddle for the price, and if you've had comfort issues on saddles like the Antares, this is definitely worth trying.

TERMPO ARGO X3

I’ve been riding fizik saddles for almost 20 years, having ridden the Airone and Kurve Snake on most of my road bikes in that time. I bought a gravel bike last year and everyone said I had to try to Brooks C15. I bought one and spent way too much time micro adjusting it. It’s waterproof woven fabric was shredding my expensive bibs and finally I started looking for a better option. I heard great reviews for the Terra Argo X3, and ended up getting one. fizik shipped it DHL express, arriving from Italy to NYC in only 4 days. It was so easy to install and I only made one adjustment over the course of my first 40 mile ride with it. I’ve been running a set back seatpost, but I think that with the short nose saddle I can swap back to a straight post, so bear that in mind. I have nothing but praise for this thing. There’s not a carbon rail option in the Terra Argo range, but tbh this saddle is so light that it’s not even an issue. 10 out of 10 recommend.

I like the style and comfort of the shoes a lot. My only which will probably just take some time to adapt to is the lack of a tongue in the shoes.

The cutout works well to reduce pressure, especially in static conditions on a long turbo trainer session. Padding is not too soft.
