These are my Army Sons' 2nd pair of Garmont boots & he's just back from wearing them for a long weekend. He wears the thick socks but these boots rubbed a spot on the top of his foot at the bottom eyelet raw. $200 spent on boots that he will have to now bandage up his foot to actually get use out of them. His first pair of Garmonts had NO issues.

I love the boots, my wide feet are taking longer to break in the boots than I planned on. I’ve worn my last pair of boots for almost 8 years, so I haven broken new boots in in years. The boots are light weight, well constructed and have soft insoles. The plan is that they are fully broken in with in the next 30 days for a tough ruck even in Boston.

Unfortunately a over just a couple of weeks of use they still dig into my ankles and are usually a fight to take off your feet unless you pull your trousers out of them when bloused, those two make me not want to use the boots anymore and just get new ones. But it does support you and take the impact of field tasks, helped with my shin splints and muscle hernias

I did a 6 mile ruck in these with my darn tough socks and had no issues with blisters or my feet just being uncomfortable.
