I've purchased Asolo 520GTX boots for 30 years. I like the way they fit, how well they're made, and especially how they look. I wear them daily which takes a toll on the soft Vibram soles. I sent my most recent pair back to Asolo to be re-soled and when they were shipped back there is a large rubber cap over the toe. There was no mention that this was part of the process and had someone informed me ahead of time I would have declined because I do not like how they look now. It was expensive to ship them from the USA and I'm quite dissatisfied.

Dea customer, thank you for taking the time to review our service. We underline in the general information before requesting the resoling that: "Which materials we use: where possible and we have available, we use all the original materials of the model; in case the model is out of our collection and so we do not have any more available the original-same materials, the model will get resoled with the new outsoles (which perfectly fit for your boots or shoes). Furthermore, if the upper of the boot-shoe is slightly damaged on the lateral points, a rubber rand will be added in order to be able to proceed with the resoling and protecting the upper." As in your case, we added the rubber protection in order to protect and cover the damaged leather and proceed with the resoling. They did an INCREDIBLE job on my husband's old, disintegrating hiking boots! I kept waiting for them to email me and say, "Oh, we didn't realize they were THIS bad...we can't fix this." But that email never came, and instead, we quickly received his boots back in the mail--BEAUTIFULLY RESTORED, and better than they ever had been! I would have thought they were entirely new boots, were it not for a few worn fabric spots inside the ankle area of the boot that I know were there before. What an amazing service.

Quick and simple buying process. The delivery to the States was just a few days. These are the best shoes every... likely my 7-8th pair.

The initial fee I thought was very fair but I didn’t realize how expensive overseas shipping and taxes were, adding substantially to the cost. Still far less than a new pair. I received the boots back and wow, essentially brand new again but already broken in! I haven’t been able to hike in them yet have no doubts they’ll serve me many years again. Asolo makes a great product and they were quick to respond to my questions.

Got my faithful Asolo hiking boots resoled, I've had them for 15 years and we've done many miles hiking in Annapurna, the Alps and all over Ireland, the old soles had perished. I was delighted to be able to get my old boots upgraded as the leather upper was in perfect condition and still 100% waterproof. They were returned to me in less than 3 weeks, and look like new boots!

Pensavo di dover buttare un paio di scarponi a cui ero molto affezionato in quanto si era sbriciolato l'intersuola e in pià di un negozio mi avevano detto che non era possibile risuolarli, poi ho provato direttamente con il produttore ASOLO e... WOW!! Spendendo meno che in negozio e in meno di 10 gg gli scarponi sono tornati a casa praticamente nuovi, come se li avessi appena acquistati, è stata davvero una piacevole sorpresa. Grazie ASOLO!!!

Habe meine Falcon-GV-Schuhe bei Asolo neu besohlen lassen. Die Schuhe schienen mir noch gut genug zu sein. Außerdem waren sie für meine Füße perfekt, da ich sie immer mit meiner orthopädischen Einlegesohle und meinen heiß geliebten Meindl-Revolution-Air-Socken (die es leider nicht mehr gibt) getragen habe. Also wurden die Schuhe nach Asolo in Italien gesandt. Nach angemessener Bearbeitungszeit erhielt ich sie zurück. Die Reparatur war so gut gemacht, dass man sie nicht als repariert erkennen kann; außer an dem neuen Profil natürlich! Und dass die Haken poliert und die Schuhriemen und Einlegesohle erneuert wurden. Rundum perfekt!!

The second pair of Asolo boots I purchased had a defective sole, while the upper looked brand new. Decided on resolve option which took about a month th send and get back. Boots look new again. Only downside was the $(US)160 shipping cost ant $41 European tariff. Overall, less than a cost of a new pair, but adds pause to redoing this.

Rapidi nell’eseguire la risuolatura alla perfezione e nella restituzione del collo, senza chiederlo sono stati sostituiti anche i lacci che erano un po’ rovinati. Grazie Asolo! Unica pecca, purtroppo, il costo del trasporto, ma non si poteva fare diversamente.
