RESOLING SERVICE: Good work, but very expensive - just buy a new pair. Got my shoes back good as new, but comfortable and nicely worn-in. But costs: Postage to Italy £20 Resole service £65 IMPORT DUTY!!! £30 Postage back to UK £20 NB: No duty charged on return of shoes to UK. I tried to get the Asolo sales rep to stop the import duty to Italy since the shoes were bought and paid for in UK, and not being permanently shipped into Italy. But he had no interest in helping out, refused to appreciate the logic (which was proven correct by the fact there was no import duty returning the shoes to the UK) and threatened to use the £65 fee to simply dispose of the shoes. I like the shoes, but won't be buying them again.

I've asked Asolo to resole my mountain boots which were in very bad state after 8 years of use. And I've been amazed by the result of their work. My boots are almost like new : new sole and lace and they've added a protection on the front an extra pair of lace. I am very happy with the service! It took a reasonable time of 3 to 4 weeks in total to get the boots back in Belgium from Italy, for a reasonable price too. Language on their website could be improved because some info were only available in Italian.

Scarpone “Greenwood EVO GV MM”: ottimo, molto bello, ben fatto e rifinito. La qualità si vede e si sente. Indossato trasmette allo stesso tempo un senso di robustezza e di leggerezza. Non ancora provato sul sentiero, ma le premesse e la qualità del prodotto mi dicono che certamente non ci saranno problemi. Vorrei sottolineare la sorpresa più gradita riscontrata nel rapporto che ho avuto con la “ASOLO” : l’attenzione e l’assistenza che l’azienda rivolge al cliente. E’ il mio primo paio di scarponi della “ASOLO” e prima dell’acquisto ho formulato diversi quesiti e chiesto consigli. Le risposte ricevute da parte dell’ Ufficio ”International Customer Service” della “ASOLO” sono state sempre cortesi, veloci ed esaustive. Per me, anche questo fa della “ASOLO” un’eccellenza.

The resoling service is excellent. The only thing is, you need to pay for and arrange the postage, from the UK to Italy it was £13. This could be easier if Asolo organised a return label. Then there was an extra import duty of 25 euro I wasn't expecting. However, the end result is really good. I had worn the sole down so the walking shoes were slippy in the wet - back as good as new!
