Great experience with product quality and customer service & shipment. A bit dissapointed with site maintenence and speed, product filtering & listing: structure and description .

trying to return a pair of shoes that are the wrong size. Return order form won't recognise the order number, you only have a 14 day return policy, even online, and the webiste is 'down for maintenance', plus an email sent within the 14 day return period has not been responded too - what a battle. Returns is so poor I wont be using this company again as have no confidence in an efficient return.

I didn't usually shop online much, but I really like your brand and I took a chance on your website. Basically, I only bought your shoes because, in my country, there aren't many places where I can buy other items in stores, especially clothing. Through your online shopping site, new horizons have opened up, and the ease with which I can buy, return, and exchange items that I had never personally tried before makes it easier to buy more items because I will already know the correct sizes to buy. As for the quality, it's undeniable! All the details in your pieces are excellent, and that's very important to me. I will certainly continue to be a loyal customer, just as I already am with your sports shoes. Congratulations!

Delivery was fast Boots spot on I was aware of the import tax but after paying £265 and £15 delivery I was a-bit shock at the £69 import tax on the goods. I can buy the same boots in our local outdoor shop for £265, but couldn’t find in my partners size. Please make people more aware of how much the import tax is going to be. No in small print.

Ordering the boots couldn't have been simpler. However, when ordering from the UK, the additional tax on import should be highlighted!

These shoes are great and I buy them regularly. The service however was very poor this time. It took well over a week to arrive and there was no info on timescales at point of purchase, nor any warning of very considerable customs duties payable (£34 plus £10 admin fee). Had I known, I would not have proceeded. Of course Brexit is to blame for the duties, but customers ought to be informed of the payments due before they incur them.

Was charged duty and fees. Now La Sportiva updated their website stating non-EU orders may incur extra duty charges. Switch and bait. Why quote in NOK when extra fees are added?

Our cooperation so far has been good. Unfortunately, La Sportiva insists on not having a branch in Greece.

Fedex didn't deliver the package for a full week (kept saying it would be "today" and then skipped to the next day for unforseen delays) in the end I had to drive for one hour to go to the FedEx center, wait another hour in the cold so they could find my package. While this was happening I contacted sportiva costumer support multiple times and they declined to contact FedEx and instead just kept repeating what was on the delivery information of the fedex tracking page. DO NOT SHIP FUTURE ITEMS TO PORTUGAL ON FEDEX. IT IS THE WORST DELIVERY COMPANY!

Be wary of import taxes if in UK! The shoes arrived a week after placing order, they are running small despite ordering my usual EU size. The return process looked a bit unclear to me so I persevered with the shoes , loosened laces etc and eventually felt like I could keep them. . Then two weeks later I received a email from FedEx stating I owed £69 import duties. . I checked with La Sportva if this was correct and they referred me back to their general T&C’s which I couldn’t find on the website. ( I placed my order using my phone) There is a generic banner at the top which refers to extra EU countries & import charges, but again this is not legible when using a mobile device. I’ve sent my concerns to La Sportiva to say that I don’t think this is explicit enough, there should be clearer warning’s when purchasing. But they haven’t replied so far ( despite me sending a screenshot) . So a) the shoes run small b) the shoes are expensive c) there are extortionate import duties on top. B) I’ll never buy from them again.

The ridiculous export and duties are not explained properly when you go to pay. The ‘free’ shipping is totally misleading! If I’d know the extra cost I would NOT of purchased the item.

Luiz Carlos - Brasil

Company information

La Sportiva was born in 1928 when Narciso Delladio hand-crafted wooden leather boots for many lumber-jacks and farmers of the Fassa and Fiemme valleys (Dolomites, Italy). After the war, the demand for boots increased obliging Narciso to hire new workers: the good name of "Calzoleria Sportiva" crossed the boarders of the valleys. Starting from here the La Sportiva’s history continued to grow. Now the firm produces in Fiemme Valley boots and shoes for all kind of outdoor activities from climbing and mountain, categories in which La Sportiva has the market leadership, to mountain running, trekking and the skimountaineerging market. Recently the company entered in the skimountaineering segment and in the apparel market with a complete selection of technical clothes for running, skimountaineering and climbing. La Sportiva who produces mainly in his headquarter at Ziano di Fiemme, is distributed in more then 70 countries worldwide.
