The website is very user friendly and the customer service is extremely helpful. I had a question prior to my final order and they replied in less than a day. I am very happy with my purchase as well. The hiking shoes are very comfortable.

All good, but parcel to Poland could be cheaper if it was sent via InPost rater than through traditional courier.

Purchase made from Italy via the web. When I arrived home, 5 days later, the shipment had been delivered. Super and easy for me to order these walking shoes.

Not happy! I've never had such an issue with returning an item. No one replied to my email. I'm very disappointed.

I live in the UK. It was not obvious to me that the product I was ordering was coming from Italy. I had done a Google search and Sportiva UK had come up I therefore assumed it was the UK base. I was very surprised therefore to get a very large bill for import duty and now I wish to return the item it is extremely complicated with little guidance on your website on how to return from the UK. You have a responsibility to make it much more obvious on your order summary page that import duties will be due and that it is extremely expensive and very complicated to do a return (note: I have checked your website since and there is small print at the top about the import duties- be more open and honest- make it bigger- impossible to miss). I will never shop with you again nor would I recommend you.

The shopping experience was fine. The shoes are fantastic as I knew they would be, they’re a replacement pair. However, I feel La Sportiva should warn customers from the UK that there chosen delivery company will charge them extortionate duties and taxes for delivering a pair of trainers. This on top of already expensive shoes, disgraceful!

Website was good, post Brexit import fees weren't clear. The courier (FedEx) charged an additional Disbursement Fee for paying the import tax which I didn't ask them to do.

I bought a gift via LaSportiva and the size did not fit and then I wanted to do exchange / return but I had to incur the return mailing cost myself which was 16EUR for 1.3kg (a pair of hiking shoes). It was not made clear at the time of the purchase on the website. Customer service refused to provide a free return label. I will never ever shop via your website. It's just not matching the digital era & online shopping experience... Better but at a shop or via Amazon instead of their original website.

I recall a few small wrinkles in the checkout flow. Can't remember the details but at some points I experienced some confusion.

Information on the company

La Sportiva was born in 1928 when Narciso Delladio hand-crafted wooden leather boots for many lumber-jacks and farmers of the Fassa and Fiemme valleys (Dolomites, Italy). After the war, the demand for boots increased obliging Narciso to hire new workers: the good name of "Calzoleria Sportiva" crossed the boarders of the valleys. Starting from here the La Sportiva’s history continued to grow. Now the firm produces in Fiemme Valley boots and shoes for all kind of outdoor activities from climbing and mountain, categories in which La Sportiva has the market leadership, to mountain running, trekking and the skimountaineerging market. Recently the company entered in the skimountaineering segment and in the apparel market with a complete selection of technical clothes for running, skimountaineering and climbing. La Sportiva who produces mainly in his headquarter at Ziano di Fiemme, is distributed in more then 70 countries worldwide.
